I can touch the box.
I can strike the match into a flame.
But it will take two to keep the flame alight.
I guess we took it somewhere else:
We struck up two flames.
We've maintained two candles.
And sometimes we play with fire:
We let our flames combine.
We let the candles melt together.
And we watch our creation flourish.
And other times we dowse the fire:
We separate the candles.
We let the flames glow as individuals.
And they watch each other as their own entities.
But the flames always find each other:
The wax always slinks back together.
The candles always find a way to merge.
They need each other:
Not to survive.
Not to thrive.
But rather
To share in those endeavors.
